Wendy Weckwerth

Wendy Weckwerth is a dramaturg, editor, and translator based in the Twin Cities. As the dramaturg for NYC’s Voice & Vision Theatre and in freelance capacities at the Playwrights’ Center and Theater Latté Da in Minneapolis, the History Theatre in St. Paul, and elsewhere, she has an ongoing commitment to new work. She has experience collaborating on a broad range of styles and genres—from experimental forms to music theater, from dance theater to historical dramas. On another artistic front, her translation of Strindberg’s Kristina was produced by NYC’s August Strindberg Rep earlier this year; and her translation of Ingmar Bergman’s Autumn Sonata screenplay was the basis for Robert Woodruff’s stage adaptation (Yale Rep, 2011). She has taught at Yale, Dartmouth, Colby, Mount Holyoke, and Bard Colleges. D.F.A., M.F.A., Yale School of Drama.
