Playwrights' Center acknowledges that we are on the traditional land of the Dakota People and we also honor the Anishinaabeg (Ojibwe) People of this land. We are grateful for the work of Native and Indigenous activists—past, present, and future—who remind all of us that this is stolen land. Playwrights’ Center is working to decolonize our spaces and practices, to eliminate systemic barriers placed upon Native people, and to work toward addressing reconciliation.
As we gather virtually via the internet, a service unavailable in many Indigenous communities, we at Playwrights’ Center reaffirm our commitment to learning how best we can continue to support and honor our Native communities, and we invite each of you to do the same.
