DRAMATURGY: As a dramaturg, I strive to put the playwright at the center of their own process.  Much of my dramaturgical experience stems from being one-on-one with a playwright and their work. I start from a place of inquiry, asking playwrights about their intentions and what their struggles with the script currently are rather than making any assumptions. My goal is to be a voice that helps a playwright articulate their own needs and to reflect my personal experience of what is currently on the page. Based on the questions asked, and the need expressed from the playwright, I share thoughts about how they might want to tackle their next draft in order to achieve clarity around things that may be unclear, or to dive deeper into moments that are sitting at the surface. As a playwright, I love to rewrite and understand that the rewriting process can be fraught for others, so I especially like to provide guidance on how a playwright might improve their own relationship to the rewriting process.

HOW I IDENTIFY: I identify as a white, queer, non-binary person

LANGUAGES: English

Types of Plays:
I love plays that range from wildly experimental to traditional family dramas. I have a special fondness for plays that revolve around questions of queerness and gender, as well as plays that dramatize physical events (such as sports).
