Michael Kinghorn

Michael Kinghorn has spent 35 years writing, developing, and producing new plays. His work has been seen at numerous regional theaters, including Arena Stage, Horizon Theatre Company, Riverrun Theater Company, and Charter Theatre. His plays tend to be comic; often involve music, dance, and elaborate spectacle; and are typically character driven. Michael has led the literary departments of Arena Stage, Alliance Theatre, and Guthrie Theater and has consulted on dozens of new plays as a freelance dramaturg. He has taught acting in New York, New London, and Washington, DC and serves on the playwriting faculty of the UNO M.F.A. Writing Program.
