Samah Meghjee is a playwright and screenwriter living in Los Angeles, CA.
Biography

Samah (pronounced like "summer" with a Boston accent) is a Muslim comedy writer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. 

Samah's original screenplay Quran Camp is on Wscripted's Second Annual Cannes Screenplay List and is currently a Screencraft Film Fund Quarterfinalist. Her play Letters from London had a staged reading in the New Play Festival in June 2022. In 2019 Samah's short film, Therapist Speed Dating, had a limited premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Her senior thesis pilot Bad Muslims was the recipient of the Goldwasser Fund. Her children's one act, The Mysterious Mystery of the Lost Letters, co-authored by her identical twin, was published by Brooklyn Publishers in 2016.

​Samah graduated with and MFA in Writing for the Screen and Stage at Northwestern University in 2022. She earned a BA in English & Creative Writing and Media Studies from Emory University. She graduated summa cum laude. She cannot believe she just wrote the word "cum" on her very professional bio.
