Margot Connolly is playwright currently based in Iowa City, IA. Her plays include Belfast Kind (Winner, Jewish Plays Project's Jewish Playwriting Contest), Quiz Out (Princess Grace Finalist), Tough, 1 John 4:20, and Keys. Her work has been produced and developed through Williamstown Theatre Festival, the Playwrights Center, the Jewish Plays Project, the Berkshire Fringe Festival, Ugly Rhino's Tiny Rhino, and the 2015 Frigid Fringe Festival, among others. She was a 2010-2011 Core Apprentice at the Playwrights Center, a 24 Hour Play: Nationals 2015 company member, and has interned for New Dramatists, New Georges, and the Debate Society. She received her BA from Bennington College, where she studied drama and playwriting, and is currently pursuing her MFA in playwriting at the University of Iowa.
