When Lee’s longtime friend and lover dies suddenly, his overwhelming need for his wife Sophie to have a baby--thus balancing death with life--threatens the serenity of their marriage. Lee’s sister, Andi, is also compelled by the death to make a drastic life change including taking Skull, a man on the edge, as her lover. Caught in the middle are Sophie’s beloved menagerie of reptiles and Daisy, her tarantula.
