Julie Tosh-Coles' writing includes the play Skirt, the chamber opera Mercy Train, and the screenplay Program Rose. Her work has been developed or presented by the Playwrights' Center, Microscopic Opera Company, and National Public Radio. She has been an artist in residence at Virginia Center for the Artts, a Core Apprentice at the Playwrights' Center, a Walter E. Dakin Playwriting Fellow at the Sewanee Writers' Conference, and won a Djerassi Fellowship through San Francisco Film Society. She is an alumnus of the Playwrights Union of LA and is in the Independent Writing Caucus of the WGAW. Tosh-Coles earned her MFA at Carnegie Mellon University and is currently living in England.
