J. E. Robinson has had plays produced in Alaska, in Louisville, Kentucky, in Saint Louis, Missouri, Off-Broadway, and Off-Off-Broadway. He is the author of the young adult novel Skip Macalester, of The Day Rider and Other Stories: A Collection, and of How Hair Changes before Expiration: Poems. He was graduated from Howard University and from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
