Biography

Gemma Irish is a playwright, leader of workshops, and sometime performer from Minneapolis. Her plays, which explore everything from gay marriage to hellish workplaces to antique chairs to sugar daddies, have been seen in Minneapolis with Normandale Community College; Catalog Models; One-Minute Play Festival; BOOM! Theater; the Minnesota Fringe Festival; Transatlantic Love Affair; and the Bryant-Lake Bowl. Her work has been seen in New York at the Manhattan Theatre Source; Galapagos Art Space, and The New School. She has also written for Minnesota Playlist. She holds a BA in playwriting from Eugene Lang College, New School University.
