
Eric “Pogi” Sumangil is one of the most often-mispronounced names in the Twin Cities theater community. He is a native Minneapolitan, an actor, fight choreographer, and a two-time Many Voices Fellow. His plays include The Duties and Responsibilities of Being a Sidekick, Kicking The Gong Around, Wingman,and Party Policy. His work has been developed or produced in New York & Minneapolis by History Theatre, Box Wine Theatre, Bedlam Theatre, Second Generation, The Barkada Theater Project, Freshwater Theatre, and Mu Performing Arts. He is a co-founder of The Unit Collective and a recipient of the Fil-Minnesotan Association’s Excellence in the Arts award.
