Biography

Edward Bok Lee’s Whorled won an American Book Award, and his Real Karaoke People won a PEN Open Book Award. His plays, including History K, Passage, St. Petersburg, and Glow, have been published by Vintage, Pearson/Longman, Smith and Krauss, and Duke University Press, and have been produced or developed by the Guthrie, New York Theatre Workshop, Public Theater, Theater Mu, Taipei Theatre, Trinity Rep, and Walker Art Center. Other awards include two national Jerome Fellowships, a Weston Fine Arts Prize for Best Graduate Play at Brown University, and various grants and fellowships. He’s been a New York Theatre Workshop writer-in-residence and a Core Member at the Playwrights' Center.
