I hold an MFA in Poetry from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, but write in multiple genres. My debut novel, A Notion of Pelicans, came out in 2016 from North Star Press. My essays and poems have been published in magazines, journals, and anthologies, and my play The Rock Farm, which draws from my origin in a Finnish-American family in the UP of Michigan, has been produced both in Finland and the U.S. In 2012, The Rock Farm received a staged reading and panel critique as part of PlayLab at the Great Plains Theatre Conference. I blog at www.donnasalli.com.
