Dan Taulapapa McMullin, currently living in California, is a painter and poet from American Samoa. A new book of poems, Coconut Milk, is being published by University of Arizona Press, with which he will be touring in 2014. His paintings exhibited at DeYoung Museum, Bishop Museum, United Nations, and internationally. They can be seen at www.taulapapa.com. He works in Pacific Islander Samoan fa'afafine (queer-trans-gay) culture, and experiments in appropriation, media, performance, and text.
