Biography

Courtney Meaker is a playwright whose work often explores queerness, feminism, and the end of the world. She’s developed plays with Kennedy Center, National New Play Network, Seattle Repertory Theatre, San Francisco Playhouse, Annex Theatre, About Face, Macha Monkey, and the Sewanee Writers Conference. Works include: Buckshot (Dramatic Publishing), Chaos Theory – a play seeking order (Original Works), The Lost Girls (Gregory Award Outstanding New Play Nominee), That’swhatshesaid (Stranger Genius Award Nominee), Tiny Thin Woman Inside, and You Must Wear a Hat. She’s an alumna of Seattle Rep’s Writers Group, a Walter E. Dakin Fellow for Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and a graduate of the University of Iowa’s Playwrights Workshop.
