It's the full moon and the Moms are trying to transcend. Everyone has an angle: Patti's son Arlo wants to stay up late on the computer. Maria's daughter Madison is probably underage drinking after her volleyball game. Stephanie just wants to get fucked up.

Cast:
ARLO, MARIA, PATTI, STEPHANIE

It’s wartime on the coast of California. The future of the planet -- Sovietism versus capitalism versus the violent right -- is completely up in the air. The artist Bertolt Brecht, exiled from Nazi Germany, sweats in a tiny Santa Monica house with his family. His wife and his lover aren't on speaking terms. His chances of making it in Hollywood have dwindled to nothing. When the actor Charles Laughton invites himself into Brecht's life, it seems like a career windfall. With Laughton as his new star vehicle, the two embark on an intimate and fraught collaboration, dragging everyone around them into the fray.

And I am here, too, to interrupt and participate. The story still confounds me. What happened between them? Were they lovers? Did they repulse each other? What did the women have to say? I am only trying to make sense of it with you.

Cast:
Brecht, Weigel, Laughton, Lanchester, Berlau, Reyher/Cecil/Joseph Losey, Stefan, Playwright/Barbara
