Her short plays WORK, Gestation, and Organization Man were finalists for the Heideman Award (2005, 2006, 2007), and WORK has had several productions, including Actors Theatre of Louisville The Tens 2006; City Theatre (Miami) Summer Shorts 2006; Obsessions and Compulsions Festival (Chicago) 2007, and 10 By 10 In the Triangle at The ArtsCenter (North Carolina); published by Smith & Kraus. Catherine has twice been a resident at the MacDowell Colony and is a one-time resident at the Ucross Foundation. She studied at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Experimental Theater Wing in both the New York and Paris programs, with Anne Bogart, Steve Wangh, and Kevin Kuhlke. She is a co-founder of The Geese, a co-working/co-mentoring group of women playwrights, and she is also a member of The Dramatists Guild and an associate member of The League of Professional Theatre Women.
