Biography

Beth Hyland is a playwright, songwriter, and screenwriter based in Chicago. Her work includes the musical SEAGULLS and the plays CLEARING, KILLED A MAN (JOKING), RED BOWL AT THE JEFFS, FOR ANNIE, and SYMPHONY FOR SIX JONIS. Her work has been produced and developed regionally at the Octagon Theatre Bolton; in Chicago at Steppenwolf LookOut, Broken Nose, The Sound, First Floor Theater, The Passage Theatre, The Neighborhood, Rabid Bat Theatricals, and others; and in New York at The Hearth and Dixon Place. She is the co-founder of The Sound and a proud alumna of Kenyon College and the National Theatre Institute. bethhyland.com
