Plays

A beautiful young heroin junky stripper and a mid-lifing professional man come together in a rinky dink hotel room for obvious reasons. The evening turns out to be something neither of them expected. Moral Sex is a play that addresses the contemporaneous and perpetual heorin epidemic destroying lives in Amerika, and how nobody is really too concerned about doing anything about it.

The art of making santos, wooden carvings of saints, has been dominated by male culture over the centuries. A young woman from Northern New Mexico has decided to change the nature and injustice of that culture. Born into a traditional santero family, she teaches herself the long traditional and exacting art of making santos against the neglect of her father - a master santero - the arrogant competition of her father's male student, and against the exploitation of the dominant culture controlling the art market. La Santera is a story of femaile triumph in the face of long-standing ignorance, and a story of redemption between a father and his daughter.

Two soldiers, two different theatres of war. My Name Is Jose Rodriguez depicts not only the violence of war on innocent civilians, but specifically portrays and attacks the violence against women both in a war zone and life in general. The play is brutal, honest, poignant and powerful. In the tradition of the Theatre of Cruelty, My Name... takes the concept of katharsis beyond the frail realm of living hell.

Three plays portraying the hard struggle of Latino people from another country trying vigorously to adjust and assimilate in a hostile forbidden land of opportunity. The Dish Washer provides a glimpse into the livelihood of those individuals that work some of the hardest work, and most unappreciated and low paying work. La Sirvienta is for all those overeducated immigrant HighSpaniks that are reduced to peonage in Amerika just to survive. Of The Divided Heart addresses the silent high suicide rate epidemic of young Latina women struggling to fit-in and strive in a country that doesn't accept them.
