Kathy and her long-term boyfriend Jeremy have returned to Kathy’s old hometown to start a new life. Everything is looking good for her as she reconnects with her childhood friend Carly and begins to prepare for a new job. Things start to turn though, when after an innocent conversation about her future, she determines that she doesn't want to have children. This news takes Jeremy by surprise who always assumed marriage and children were in their future. As feelings turn from bad to worse, Kathy, always a logical thinker comes up with a plan that she feels will help both her and her friend Carly. This plan has unforeseen consequences as Kathy’s life takes a tragic turn. Now she must try and come to terms with a plan of her own devising that is quickly spinning out of her control.
