In 1966, serendipity and rock n’ roll assemble an unexpected crew on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Vincent and Selma Cartier – a young married couple stuck in their routine – decide to manage a rock band (The Knights of Salisbury) formed by two high school friends, Jake and Mike. In spite of differing needs and motivations, the four, joined by two other local teens, strive to establish The Knights as an in-demand act during the busy summer season. The ensuing months bring friendship, romance, ego clashes, and musical celebration. The Knights of Salisbury is loosely based on the true story of The Castiles (Bruce Springsteen’s first band), and their managers Tex and Marion Vinyard.
