Developed for the Honors CAPSTONE, this dramatic, crime-centered script follows Mira, a young woman who's past won't stop bothering her, from her ex boyfriend Erik to her criminal history. As she sits with her lawyer after the murder of Erik, they uncover how Mira and her mother, Nadine got into this situation and what's at stake for everyone. The question continues to be asked, can cycles be broken or are they destined to repeat themselves.
Cast:
Mira - Mid 20's. Uses humor to compensate with everything. Tries to turn her life around but ends up in the same cycles.
Nadine - 40's. Always worried. Can be controlling. Thinks she knows what is best.
Pierce- 50's. A lawyer. Procedural. Wants to help Mira but his ego gets in the way.
Erik- Mid 20's. Sleazy. Cunning. Will love bomb Mira one moment and then berate her the next. Abusive emotionally and physically to Mira.
Rita - 60's. Mira's boss. Money driven. Looks out for Mira. Gets distracted easily.
Judge - Is there for the truth. Can be double casted with Rita.
