Little Festival of the Unexpected

In odd-numbered years Portland Stage seeks unproduced scripts to workshop in Spring of the following year. Plays will be workshopped with professional actors, directors, and dramaturgs. Play must be unproduced or workshopped by AEA actors. Plays must be full-length. Plays must require no more than Eight (8) actors to perform. Must travel to Maine for workshop (housing and travel provided).

2023 Lanesboro Arts Residency Program

A place-based program for emerging artists where art and the artistic process instigates positive change, addresses or creates an opportunity to move the community forward or is otherwise be central to problem-solving. Supported by the Jerome Foundation, the Lanesboro Artist Residency program is an opportunity for emerging artists from Minnesota and the five boroughs of New York City to explore ways in which their work can be applied to the community and how Lanesboro’s rural community can inform their work.

Seeking submissions ideally last between 20 and 40 minutes, and star 2 or more characters, with more being preferable.
