It's Core Apprentice week!

Each June three Core Apprentices travel to the Playwrights' Center for play development workshops. This year all plays will have public readings; we hope you can join us to support these talented student playwrights!

Kelly Lusk (Indiana University) will be workshopping Lacy and Ashley Live in a Trailer Now with director Amy Rummenie and dramaturg Basil Kreimendahl. Reading Wednesday, June 10 at 2:30 p.m.

David Turkel (University of Texas at Austin) will be workshopping One Bad Mother with director Noel Raymond and dramaturg Wendy Weckwerth. Reading Thursday, June 11 at noon.

Emily Zemba (Yale School of Drama) will be workshopping I'm Sorry I Brought Up God with director Lisa Channer and dramaturg Sarah Myers. Reading Thursday, June 11 at 3 p.m.

In partnership with the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, the Core Apprentice program provides student playwrights with such benefits as a year of mentorship with a professional playwright and a full play development workshop at the Playwrights' Center.

Hope to see you at the PWC this week!

(We also have a reading of Core Writer Lauren Yee's King of the Yees on Friday, June 12, at 2 p.m. What a week!)
