"We make up horrors to help us cope with the real ones."- Stephen King
As winter tightens its grip, join us for this two-part workshop on adapting urban legends, ghost stories, and tall tales for the stage. This workshop, taught by Seth Bockley, will focus on the use of various American myths and stories, as the starting point for your play. Seth will begin with Washington Irving's Sleepy Hollow and Rip van Winkle, but participants are encouraged to bring in their own tales too.
Please note that this is two-part workshop, participants should attend both sessions: February 25: 2:30pm-5:00pm & February 26: 6:00pm - 8:30pm
This is the seminar for you if:
- You know a great story you'd like to adapt
- You'd like to start a new play in a different way
- You're looking for a fun way to get some writing done
Playwrights of all experience levels welcome.
