Susan Bernfield’s works include SIZZLE SIZZLE FLY (EST Sloan Commission/First Light Festival); TANIA IN THE GETAWAY VAN (The Pool); STRETCH (a fantasia) (People’s Light & Theatre; New Georges; ipublished by Playscripts); THICKETED, BIG HUNGRY WORLD, BARKING GIRL, a solo musical, TINY FEATS OF COWARDICE, and a solo play presented in living rooms, MY LAST CAR. They have been presented or developed by New Harmony Project, Huntington Theatre Company/Breaking Ground Festival, Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, Ensemble Studio Theatre/First Light Festival, Playwrights Horizons, Adirondack Theatre Festival, Ice Factory Festival, One-Minute Play Festival, FringeNYC, Magic Theatre, Vital Theatre Company, Lark Play Development Center and Peculiar Works Project, among others. Susan is also the founder and artistic director of New Georges, a nonprofit theater company that has produced and developed ambitious new plays by women since 1992.
