Biography

Kathy Haddad explores contemporary events in the Arab/Muslim American community (racial profiling, immigration, violence, identity issues). She's had three plays produced in Minnesota (The Arab's in My Head- Theater Mu; With Love from Ramallah - Mizna; Zafira the Olive Oil Warrior - Pangea World Theater), and excerpts performed nationally (Golden Thread Theater - San Francisco; Arab American Comedy Festival - New York).  Kathy was a Many Voices Fellow at the Playwrights' Center (three times), was the cofounder and executive director of Mizna Arab American Arts Organization for 12 years, and her latest play, Safari, is in production for Spring of 2015.  

Successes

Affiliated writer Kathryn Haddad is one of the first recipients of the Jerome Hill Artist Fellowship program. 60 Fellowships were awarded to early career artists in Minnesota and New York City.
