Dwayne Yancey is a playwright in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia or, if you prefer, Appalachia. His work has been produced on every continent except South America and Antaractica. His one-act THE FRUITCAKE has been produced more than 50 times. His most famous full-length is 57 HOURS IN THE HOUSE OF CULTURE, which is about the 2002 Moscow theatre siege. The former is a comedy; the latter, most definitely, is not.
