Biography

e.k. doolin, she/her, is a theatre artist living in the MetroEast area of St. Louis. She has had her work produced by the Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble, Prison Performing Arts, The Center for Creative Arts, The Heartland Theatre, York College of Pennsylvania, Geneva Theatre Guild of New York, and Slackline Productions of London, England. Recent and Upcoming: Member of the 2023 St. Louis Shakespeare Festival’s Confluence Writers Group; Semi-Finalist for 2022 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, Region 3, Short-Play DivisionOct 5-8th, 2023 production of short play Waiting for Hecate produced by Prison Performing Arts (which was also featured in the 2024 Region 3 KCACTF One-Act Division), Co-Producer for Contraband Theater’s production of See You in a Minute, a new play by Jacob Juntunen, Oct 12-28th, 2023 at The Chapel in St. Louis.

e.k. has a Master of Fine Arts in Acting and is currently pursuing an additional MFA with a concentration in Playwriting from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where her newest play, Philoten, will be featured at the Big Muddy New Play Festival, April 18-21, 2024.

Successes

My 10 min play THE LONESOME LIBRARY was selected by the Geneva Theatre Guild for their annual Playwright's PlayReadings festival in May 2020.

My 10-min play, 'V', was selected for the 2019 Aphra Behn Festival, produced by the Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble in St. Louis, Mo.
