Emma is a theatre artist with a background in sociology and an interest in place-making and history-making through interdisciplinary theatre. In particular, she focuses on modes of public storytelling and archives, which she has pursued through the collection and digitization of the ENLACE records, an archive of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area Latina/o Lesbian and Gay Coalition (1987-93). This experience fuels her interest in dramaturgy and exploring audiences’ engagement with the theatre they see. Emma has had educational opportunities with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Washington, D.C.’s Arena Stage. While originally from Washington state, she is incredibly excited to be working and collaborating in the Twin Cities.
