AnaSofía Villanueva is excited to be returning to her creative home of the Twin Cities as the Director of Impact and Engagement at Playwrights’ Center. She is the former Director of Creative and Civic Partnerships at Artists Repertory Theatre and Artistic Associate at History Theatre. She regularly directs and facilitates EDI discussions for Pillsbury House Theatre’s Breaking Ice Program. She has directed at Public Playhouse, Cornerstone Theatre Troupe, and UMN/Guthrie BFA Program and assistant directed at Mixed Blood Theatre and The Guthrie Theatre. AnaSofía has received play readings at Artists Repertory Theatre, Teatro Milagro, and Mixed Blood Theatre. She has authored articles on the power dynamics of theater in the American Theatre Magazine, StarTribune, and Minnesota Playlist.
