In an alternate universe on a planet far far away Hillary Clinton is the elected American President, Monica Lewinski is a California Congressman and the boy friend of Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump is a man of few words.  And as you’d expect, the world is on the brink of a nuclear war.  What could be funnier?



Currently in collaboration with a Minneapolis production in the development of a new and exciting musical.  Barna is the book author for the play.  Formal announcements forthcoming.

Playwright Tom David Barna is humbled by the news that he is a 2021 recipient of a Minnesota State Arts Board Grant.  Barna will use the grant to create an online video theatre, producing five plays for social media consumption.

A three time McKnight Foundation Fellowship grant recipient, Tom David Barna has received his second McKnight Foundation Artist Development grant.  Grant will be used for the live production reading of two new plays on August 21, 2020 in Mankato, MN.

Playwright Tom David Barna recently returned from the 2019 Valdez Last Frontier Theatre Conference as his new play The Sun Go Down was selected for a staged reading and workshop. It was Tom's fourth appearence at the prestigious international playwrights conference.
