www.Minnesotaplaywright.weebly.com Tom David Barna, playwright has penned for the stage, more than thirty full-length plays, thirty-two short plays, co-authored a 13-part radio series and authored four children's books (Cantata Publishing). He has been commissioned for projects as varied as episodic radio and children's musicals and recently penned a new full-length musical for Melody Bay Productions. His recent play “Music In The Clouds” debuted at the Stoll Theatre in Minneapolis in August 2022. He is the recipient of more than twenty-eight regional non-equity and/or festival productions and/or staged readings since 2009 and the recipient of five McKnight Artist Grants. In 2021 he received the prestigious Minnesota State Board Artist Grant. Tom has also directed, produced, and performed on stage.

Successes
"People R Ready-The Musical" ready for production. Sheet music, recordings (with and without vocals) and script are to be distributed by Melody Bay Productions beginning in 2023 to community theatre, college and professional theatre venues. Tom is the book author.
"I CAN DANCE, I CAN DANCE" debuted on stage for three nights in Salem, Massachusetts in November, 2022..
"MUSIC IN THE CLOUDS" debuted in August 2022 in Minneapolis. The musical was produced by Melody Bay Productions. Barna is the book author for the play.
Playwright Tom David Barna is humbled by the news that he is a 2021 recipient of a Minnesota State Arts Board Grant. Barna will use the grant to create an online video theatre, producing five plays for social media consumption.
A three time McKnight Foundation Fellowship grant recipient, Tom David Barna has received his second McKnight Foundation Artist Development grant. Grant will be used for the live production reading of two new plays on August 21, 2020 in Mankato, MN.
