Regina Marie Williams is a Southern California transplant. She fell in love with Minnesota and made it her home. She has perfomed at the Guthrie Theater, Illusion, Chanhassen Dinner Theater, Milwaukee Rep, and Syracuse Stages. She originated the role of Nina in Christina Ham's Nina Simone: Four Women, commissioned by Park Square Theater, and directed by Faye M. Price. She is a Penumbra Theater Company member and a Ten Thousand Things Core member. Ms. Williams received an Ivey Award for the role fo Mama Nadi in Mixed Blood Theater's production of RUINED and a Helen Hayes nomination for Red Shirts at Round House Theater. In 2016 City Pages named her Best Actress. Minneapolis Star Tribune named Prince Artist of the year, however Ms. Williams was runner up, receiving Artist of the Year Honorable Mention.
She has produced three solo CDs and performs at the world renowned Dakota Jazz Club. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband.
