After a long illness during which I had no hope of recovery, I did recover. Having spent my life thinking about writing and infrequent dabbling, I grabbed hold of my resurrected life and wrote and staged my first play for Frontera Fest here in Austin at age 57 (and have each year since). In addition to three years of producing my work for Frontera Fest, my plays have appeared in 14/48, the One-Minute Play Festival, and in TILT Performance Group's upcoming June 2019 Flip Side Redux.
I am a proud member of ScriptWorks, the Dramatists Guild, and now the Playwrights' Center. I have been attending a book club that only discusses plays for five years now and reading and discussing great plays each month not only inspired me to write that first play, but has continually served to improve my writing.
ScriptWorks and Austin's vibrant theatre community have embraced me and I am thriving creatively and making some wonderful friends.
I am currently working on my first full-length play.
