Linda Maria Girón is a Guatemalan-American actor and playwright from Los Angeles currently residing in the Bay Area.
Biography

Linda Maria Girón (they/them/elle) is a queer, guate-americane theatremaker and interdisciplinary artist from Los Angeles, CA. Their work primarily takes form in dramatic writing and acting for the American stage, visual and performance art, poetry, music and illustration.

Their play MEMORIA DEL SILENCIO EN EL PAÍS DE LA ETERNA PRIMAVERA (Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts, workshop production) was awarded the Michael Mansfield and Randy Sweringen Social Justice Award  and received Finalist recognition in the Playwrights' Foundation's 2019 Bay Area Playwrights' Festival. WHITE IRIS was produced in PianoFight's ShortLived VI Festival and was awarded the Theatre Bay Area 2019 CA$H CREATES Grant. 

Devised works and collaborations include: DECOLONIZE YOUR SEX LIFE (Cutting Ball Theater, actor/writer), PORT STORIES (co-prod. The Peripatetic Players & Idiot String, actor/writer) and 3GT INVESTIGATES: BIRTH RIGHTS (3GirlsTheatre, co-writer). 

Linda is currently under commission with Crowded Fire Theater's 2020/21 R&D Lab for their new play AMÉMONOS // LET US LOVE EACH OTHER.
