Biography

Kari Floren - is an accomplished Off-Broadway playwright whose work includes: Revisiting Wildfire, The Porch, If Wishes Were Horses, A Late Supper and Voices of Swords.  Her short play, Berserker, was a Best of the Week winner at the 2017 FronteraFest in Austin, Texas.  Her screenplay thriller, For Love of Mama was a finalist in the Nantucket Film Festival.  She has also written the screenplay comedy, It's Magic! (A coming of age story for late, late bloomers). Co-writing with Flora Doone: the full length plays The Page Turner, Candy Kid and the Hobo King and That Gorgon Girl as well as Fish Head Soup – the Musical (additional story & lyrics by Michael McKenzie, music by Caryl Ginsberg Fantel).  Previously they adapted Flora's novel Candy Kid and the Hobo King into a family friendly screenplay.  She lives in New York City and Boynton Beach, Florida.
