It is 1956. Grandma Gorki has died, her daughter Madge is selling the house, and her granddaughter, Penny, has to move on. So does Sam, the young man who has roomed in granny’s garage for the past ten years.

Penny is 20 years old, and has Down syndrome; Sam is 25 and afflicted withmuscular dystrophy. Where will they go; what will they do? They figure it out as they discover their friendship is deeper than they imagined

A retired couple, recvently settled in South Florida, is tired of their daughter and married son constantly intruding on their life.  With the help of a friendly neighbor couple the "old folks"  decide on a drastic way to get some needed time for themselves.  A comedy.

Cast:
Cast of eight, four men and four women, ages 40 to early 70s.

Successes

My 10--minute comedy "She Loves St. Pete" will be featured at the Bonita Springs Center for the Arts, Funny Shorts LIVE this September. In Florida, of course, where funny shorts are always welcome.

Three productions of The Bare Truth to date:  The American Theatre of  Actors (NYC, Jan. 2019); Pineapple Playhouse (Ft. Pierce FL, Jan-Feb, 2020); The Marco Players (Marco Island FL, Mar-April, 2021).  A fourth production is scheduled for March 2022 at The Barn Theatre, Stuart FL.
