Grafton Reyes Doyle is a playwright & filmmaker based out of Los Angeles.
His work explores themes of identity & duality with a focus on incarceration, institutionalization, and chosen family. His play, Dope Queens, held its world premiere August, 2019 at The Hudson Theatres in Los Angeles (produced by Pop Up Theatre LA! & Tomorrowland Productions). Adapted to screen, Dope Queens will also be Grafton's feature directorial debut (starring Trace Lysette, Alexandra Grey, and Kylie Sonique Love) -- and is set to premiere in 2024. His most recent play, Kept Men, held its concert reading at the Tony-award winning Pasadena Playhouse, directed by Luis Alfaro.
A firm believer in criminal justice reform, Grafton remains active in philanthropy, supporting missions that bridge gaps in arts education access for opportunity youth in Title-I schools and juvenile centers.
He is a 2023 SF Film Rainin Foundation Finalist & 2023 Nicholl Quarterfinalist. MFA Dramatic Writing & BA Narrative Studies from USC.
