Emily Rosenbaum has written extensively about education, feminism, parenting, the environment, and anything else that suits her fancy. She has worked as a speech writer and taught writing at several universities. Her publications include Glamour, Motherlode at The New York Times, Kveller, Bitch, Skirt, the Ms. Magazine blog, and Brain, Child. Her books are Behind the Woodpile, Cooking on the Edge of Insanity, and Princess Wishes and Monorail Dreams. She holds a doctorate in American Literature from the University of Chapel Hill at North Carolina.
