Jessica is holding a birthday celebration for her girlfriend Samantha. She has the whole weekend planned. A nice dinner with friends, then a day with family members followed up by a marriage proposal. The weekend takes a turn when their dinner plans get canceled and not one, but both of their mothers show up a day early to celebrate. There is just one problem. Samantha’s mom has no idea she is in a relationship, or that it is with a woman. This is news to Jessica as well. Frustration and confusion follow as two people in love figure out how to fight for themselves and each other and relationships between mothers and daughters are tested.

4 women. Two sets of mother daughters. Availability to allow diverse casting. JESSICA SUTTON 30’'s . Yoga teacher, a little free spirited, in love with Samantha SAMANTHA LYNCH 30’s. Works at an Art Studio, in love with Jessica, had a previous marriage straight out of college to a man named Travis KATE LYNCH 50-60’s Samantha's mom. Very successful, head of a medical facility, lives out of state. Always looks like she is in a hurry. MARY SUTTON 50's-60's. Jessica's mom. Retired, lives nearby, visits the girls often, easy going, but always cool and collected. Has a good head on her shoulders.
