In Middle America, a cave-in has resulted in the death of Tony, a seventeen year old. Two weeks following his disappearance, Jamie, Tony's lover, goes in to retrieve the boys body. Accompanied by Mitch - a capable outdoorsman - they attempt to discover the best way to properly mourn, while moving through public and private displays of grief.
