Women's One Act Festival

Submissions are now open for the first annual Women's One Acts! festival with Eden Prairie Players. We are seeking unpublished works between 10-20 minutes that provide meaningful roles for women, written by female-identified playwrights. A per-performance license fee is offered. There is opportunity to direct your own play if chosen, but we cannot offer housing and transportation for playwrights. Submissions viewed on a first come first serve basis.

Pennsylvania Playhouse (Bethlehem | PA)

The Pennsylvania Playhouse 2017 Original Playwriting Competition

The Pennsylvania Playhouse is a community theater is a volunteer run theater looking for submissions for their 2017 Playwriting Competitions. Selected plays will be performed on October 18, 19, 29, and 21 of 2018. Playwrights are required to be at one performance and must provide their own transportation.

Ensemble Studio Theatre (New York | NY)

Ensemble Studio Theatre Sloan Project

The EST/Sloan Project commissions, develops and presents new works delving into how we view and are affected by the scientific world. These plays examine the struggles and challenges scientists and engineers face from moral issues to the consequences of their discoveries. Commissions will be awarded to individuals, groups and creative teams for full-length and one-act plays and musicals. Commissions range from $1000 to $10,000. Commission amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis, as are deadlines for drafts, finished work, and research support (if appropriate).
