The Camargo Core Program is the historical and flagship program of the Foundation. Each year an international call is launched through which 18 fellows (9 artists and 9 scholars/thinkers) are selected.

Camargo Foundation (Cassis | FR)

The Cultural Diaspora: African-American and African Playwrights Creative Residency at the Camargo Foundation

Four participants from the United States and four from the African continent, all of whom are interested in the intersection and interaction, whether historic or contemporary, between the United States and Africa, will be hosted at the Camargo Foundation in Cassis, France.

Ellen Stewart International Award

2017-18 Ellen Stewart International Award

Candidates can come from any country/community in the world. Candidates must exhibit excellence and major achievements in the areas or socially-engaged theatre with youth involvement. We are looking for as diverse an array of candidates as possible. Candidates should be available to spend a residency during the summer of 2018 at La MaMa Umbria in Spoleto, Italy.

Open to all theatre artists. Employees of La Mama, ITI, and the Spoleto Festival are not eligible to apply. Members of the International Committees or their relatives are not eligible; previous awardees are not eligible.
