It's January, in the land of television that means pilot season. Across the country, networks are developing new series that they hope to premiere the following season. This whole process begins with a writer and an idea. Join us to hear from Stacey Rose (2017 - 2018 Many Voices Fellow) on building worlds that stretch beyond the acts of a play. This seminar will outline the rules of show structure (30 and 60 minute epiodes), and discuss the shows that break them. In the last decade playwrights have increasingly made their way into TV writers' rooms. Why not you?

PostScript: Stacey is the Writer's Assistant and Script Coordinator for the upcoming Netflix Original Series She's Gotta Have It (The Series). The show is based on the breakthrough 1986 movie (of the same name) for writer and director Spike Lee.
