This seminar with Tori Sampson (2017 - 2018 Jerome Fellow) will offer a series of prompts to help you break through your block. Participants will also brainstorm and discuss strategies to combat the lull of finishing a play that has you stuck. You are welcome to bring pages that you just can't seem to push forward. Maybe your muse will stir?

This is the seminar for you if:

• You find yourself at a brick wall in your writing
• You want to add new inciting excersises to your writing toolkit
• You would like discuss strategies with other writers

PostScript: Tori is the 2017 winner of the Kennedy Center's Paula Vogel Award in Playwriting for her play If Pretty Hurts Ugly Must Be a Muhfucka. The award is offered to the outstanding student-written play that explores issues of gender, diversity, and sexual orientation.
