Structure is a tool to open our worlds up as playwrights and wrangle an idea or an emotion into a play. It just requires us doing the hard work to grapple and figure out which structure or hybrid of multiple structures works best for the play we are writing. Over the course of the six-weeks, we will examine and investigate different ways to plot your plays from linear to associative to circular as well as a few others. We will do writing in the room trying our hands at each plot structure and will culminate in a Paula Vogel style bake-off.
