Join us for a free public reading of Core Writer Qui Nguyen’s play Begets: Fall of a High School Ronin on Friday, January 15, at 2:30 p.m. at the Playwrights’ Center.

Synopsis: Emi Edwards is a geeky girl who’s just discovered she has one very special talent, she’s an absolute badass fighter. With this newly found talent of dropping fist bombs, she makes it her mission to take on the “Five Shoguns” of her high school: the five tyrannical leaders of the most powerful and assholish cliques of the school. But what she may not realize is the adventure to rid the school of all bullies may turn her into the very peeps she hates.
