CLASS DESCRIPTION

Have you been wanting to write something new, but life keeps getting in the way? Does perfectionism tend to freeze you up? Do you have trouble starting... or sticking with your choices til the finish line? Do you identify as... a procrastinator?

If you relate to any of the above, join me for this end-of-year playwriting sprint. We will write courageous Zero Drafts: The draft where you figure out what you're trying to say and how to say it. We will write fast and furious, and challenge each other to explode our hearts and go to the edges of our curiosities. Not every page we write will make sense, but those are next draft problems! You'll come away from this class with something that feels vibrant, honest, alive, and uniquely you. It will also have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Bring a willingness to experiment and surprise yourself.

This Is the Class for You if You:

  • Have an idea you're ready to explore on the page.
  • Need accountability and deadlines to help you prioritize your project.
  • Have some playwriting experience under their belt.
  • Want to surprise yourself while writing.

What to Expect:

  • You'll race together with your accountability buddies to the finish line, where you get to type END OF PLAY.
  • That this journey will be fun and terrifying all at once.

Important Things to Note:

  • **REGISTRATION DEADLINE: October 18th**
  • When you sign up, you will receive an auto-confirmation email. NOTE FROM KATE

Every act always generates its own resistance, and writing is no exception. Starting, and committing, is often the hardest part. It's much easier to overcome this with a community rooting for you.
