Playwriting and Pedagogy: Teaching and Learning as Artistry
How are playwrights developing teaching as an art form? Is there a reciprocal nature between what happens in the classroom and what happens when they sit down to write? Join playwrights Erin Courtney, James Anthony Tyler, Charly Evon Simpson, and Philip Dawkins in conversation about the role that teaching plays in their larger artistic practice as playwrights. This panel, co-moderated by Martine Green-Rogers (Fellowship Associate) and Sarah Myers (Director of University Programs and Partnerships), will explore the pedagogical philosophies and experiences of this dynamic group of writers.
