"My first lessons in playwriting were [...] rewriting this play 13 times, I went through the back door of learning how to write plays, not through a structure, but through intuition and play, and a need to vent.”Alice Tuan

This seminar will be helpful for writers who wish to identify their current core values and think towards paths and creativities which might activate these values to better inform/resonate through new work. Participants can expect to explore their current core beliefs and consider how to use these values to better understand the worlds they wish to create. Tuan will offer an example of how thinking through these core thoughts helped her evolve her notion of 'cultural schizophrenia.' Exploration of your values is will allow you to better attract affinities, and build paradigms that better reflect the nuance and complications beyond dominant culture framework--hopefully, a self-illumination.
