Beyond the Moon is a conjuration of hope in 1930’s Mississippi. It centers on the Ash family as they wrestle with the forces that try to set a flood in their household. The characters attempt to defy the Gods by taking complete control over their destiny as the hell hounds of poverty, capitalism, and racism bark at their heels.
